About.
What is Good Medicine Comedy?
Good Medicine is a national comedy showcase featuring Native comedians from across North America. In 2020, we launched virtually to showcase Native comedians and fundraise for tribes impacted by COVID-19, raising over $11,000 for charitable causes. In 2021 we held our first live show at Cal Shakes, selling out the Brun’s Amphitheater. It was a huge success! Since our humble beginnings, we've hosted several sold-out shows in the Bay Area and beyond. In 2024 we debuted Good Medicine at PAC NYC, the newest theater at the World Trade Center and we are entering our fourth year performing at Cal Shakes and our third year at the Oakland Museum of California. We are expanding and plan to tour the show in 2025. Who Produces Good Medicine? Good Medicine is produced and hosted by Jackie Keliiaa. Jackie Keliiaa is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. You can find her in the book, We Had a Little Real Estate Problem: The Unheralded Story of Native Americans & Comedy. Jackie has been featured on Comedy Central, Team Coco, Netflix, and IllumiNative’s 25 Native American Comedians to Follow. She wrote for the web series You're Welcome America and has been featured in a variety of publications including Vulture, Uproxx, LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle and KQED among others.
